For the two or three regulars of this site, you'll notice that the logo has been changed from Dr. Tobias Funke to the excellent Keith Mars (Enrico Colantoni) of Veronica Mars fame. After the jump, I've embedded a great scene from the end of season 1. Note, if you haven't watched the excellent first season of Veronica Mars before, DO NOT CLICK READ MORE. Instead, send me a line, and I will lend you the first season of the series. You'll watch the first season, and then can click the link.
What a great climax to the outstanding season finale! Watching the mystery of "Who Killed Lilly Kane" come to a head in "Leave it to Beaver" was one of the most satisfying moments I have ever experienced through television. There was a great catharsis in discovering that it was, in fact, Aaron Echolls who killed Lilly in one of his famous fits of rage. Rob Thomas and company did an outstanding job planting subtle hints throughout the season about Aaron's anger, infidelity, and desire to maintain his celebrity status above all else.
The scene above depicts what happens soon after Veronica and Duncan discovered the Lilly/Aaron sex tapes. Veronica (uncharacteristically) stupidly left the party with numerous guests and witnesses to bring the tapes to her father, Keith. Of course, the evil Aaron is waiting in the backseat of her car. What ensues is a car crash, a brief escape for Veronica, and a punch through a window knocking her out and leading to her placement in an old refrigerator/new coffin.
Thankfully, our hero Keith Mars sees the wreck and stumbles across the scene. The video above depicts the end to Keith's fight with Aaron and his subsequent saving of Veronica. Of course, things did not go quite so smoothly for the Mars family after the end of this episode, but that's for discussion once you've finished Season Two.
