TV Stories from Around the Net

Trying to get in a better habit of posting more links and doing other "blogging" type activities. Today's post is mostly a few reviews (both of current and past shows), some TCA news, and whatever else I can find.

  • For starters, here's a review of the most recent episode of the increasingly humorous and entertaining The Good Guys.  The show is worth watching just for Bradley Whitford's mustache.
  • Here's some info from FX's executive session at the TCA up-fronts.  Among interesting tidbits is the fact that blog-favorite Louie has been renewed for a 13-episode second season as well as the fact that Thomas Lennon and Ben Garrant (pictured below) of Reno 911 fame will be creating and starring in a new comedy (based in space) for the network.
  • Though they pride themselves on their reality programming more than their music, MTV still announced the 2010 VMA nominations earlier today.  Lady Gaga, of overall shitty music fame, leads all nominees with 13 nominations.
  • As the official title of the blog refers to television and other things, here's something that falls into the "other things" category.  Looks like Inception may have taken some of its "original" premise from one Scrooge McDuck.  Don't think it affects my opinion of that excellent movie one bit, but it's pretty hilarious.
  • Finally, an exhausting recap of last night's Bachelorette finale. I don't see much of the show outside of The Soup, and I didn't even attempt to read this tome of a review, but I figured if it was that long, and Bachelorette fan would enjoy it. So think of it as a gift to any of you folks out there who enjoy this show.
